A3 Flammable Refrigerant Training

Duration: 1 day

The HVAC+R industry in NZ continues to gear up to supply, install & service lower GWP systems. Many low GWP systems contain highly flammable A3 refrigerants requiring formal training for all who will work with them.

Who is this course for?

Professional Technicians who want to install, diagnose and service systems charged with A3 flammable refrigerants.

Prerequisites:

  1. Hold a current A1-A2/A2L Approved Filler Compliance Certificate (Licence).
  2. Be an experienced, competent, qualified (3rd year apprentice minimum) HVAC+R technician/engineer.

Why do you
need this course?

  • Workplaces have a duty of care to have properly trained and competent staff members working with this class of hazard.
  • More and more construction companies are requiring proof of competency in order for sub-contractors to work on site.
  • While A3 refrigerants have a low GWP and a small amount is permitted to be released into the atmosphere there remains a quantity limit and amounts greater than this must be recovered.
  • Technicians are advised to have a WorkSafe A3 endorsed Approved Filler Compliance Certificate.
